European stocks rise at open


European stock markets rose at the start of trading on Thursday, with the focus on the Bank of England’s interest rate decision due later in the day.

London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.2% to 6 774.10 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX 30 index rose 0.6% to 14 678.01 points and the Paris CAC 40 added 0.4% to 6 080.34.
