Eswatini to intensify COVID-19 lockdown regulations
JOHANNESBURG – The Kingdom of Eswatini will tighten lockdown regulations after its number of COVID-19 infections almost doubled to 31.
Prime Minister Ambrose Dlamini says the partial lockdown has been unsuccessful, with many people ignoring measures to reduce the transmission of the virus.
The kingdom is looking at tightening regulations regarding public transport, business and public gatherings, among other things.
Dlamini says over the next two weeks measures will be taken to feed the poor, provide face masks, increase the number of ventilators and intensify screening.
