Botswana Diamonds PLC said Tuesday that initial indications from samples from the drilling campaign at its Thorny River diamond project in South Africa are positive.
The mining company said these indications have encouraged it to plan for additional drilling on the untested ground between the river and the already discovered blows, or swells, in the kimberlite dyke.
However, the company warned that the results won’t be available until mid-August due to a two-week delay caused by local Covid-19 issues.
Shares at 1104 GMT were up 0.03 pence, or 2.7%, at 0.95 pence.
